Last year’s defense policy bill passed without language championed by Rep. Donald Norcross that would have gradually increased “Buy American” requirements for major defense programs to 100 percent by 2026.
“We have to be prepared that this could go on for some time,” Norcross said. “We see $4 now. It’s $5.50 a gallon in California. This is a big, big problem, not only to the men and women we represent, but to our economy.”
