Proposed voucher program for military families expected to feature in defense bill debate

...Rep. Donald Norcross, D-1st of Camden, serves on both committees and was among the lawmakers who signed the letter. In a statement, he said he would continue to fight any attempt to use impact aid for vouchers.
..."Every student deserves a top-notch education, regardless of where they live. That's why I'm opposed to vouchers that send public resources to private schools — certainly children shouldn't suffer because their parents chose to serve our country in the military," Norcross said. "Instead of draining resources for the schools that our heroes' children attend, we should be providing more support for public schools and teachers that need it most."
