*Covid- 19 Notice: We are accepting applications for fall interns. Our office is following strict social distancing guidelines issued by the Office of the Attending Physician. All staff and interns are required to wear a mask or face covering, maintain social distancing in the office, as well as daily disinfecting of all work stations. Additionally, we will continue to monitor Covid-19 numbers in the area and will change our procedures if necessary.

Washington, DC

In my Washington, DC office, internships run throughout the fall, spring or summer semesters for college students. The hours are flexible to accommodate students' hectic course schedules, but generally run 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. My office’s internship program includes a stipend.

In Washington, interns' responsibilities will vary. They will be asked to answer phones, run errands, compile press clips, research legislation for the Member and legislative staff, attend hearings and briefings and answer constituent letters on various issues before the House. As a result, interns learn about the legislative process and the many other functions of a congressional office.

To apply, please fill out the Congressional Internship Application.

We are currently accepting applicants for the Fall 2020 DC Office internship.
