Roundtable Explains How New Federal Rules Will Impact Local Healthcare

...CAMDEN, NJ - With a look of disgust on his face, U.S. Rep. Donald Norcross (D-1) was not reserved in his take on a domestic "gag rule" that will impact Title X health services funding for low-income communities.

"This is about holding back information," Norcross said. "This is like shutting down the internet."

The congressman participated in a discussion Monday with leaders of local advocacy groups on the forthcoming Trump administration rule, scheduled to take effect Friday, May 3, that would cut off money to healthcare clinics also performing abortions, giving referrals, or discussing the option with patients. Kaitlyn Wojtowicz, Legislative and Political Director of Planned Parenthood Action Fund of New Jersey, moderated the roundtable forum.
