..."What I saw today when I visited was a home ... It was not a warehouse," Norcross, D-1st of Camden, said during an afternoon news conference with the leaders of the Center for Family Services, the social services nonprofit that is caring for the children.
..."Very simply, I wanted to go and make sure these children were being held in an appropriate manner, one that is worthy of being called the American system ... I wasn't bringing press. I wasn't bringing staff. It's part of my job as oversight as a member of the House of Representatives," he said. "And after holding us back two weeks, they never showed up."
