GLASSBORO, NJ – Today, U.S. Congressman Donald Norcross (NJ-01) announced that Acenda Integrated Health, located in Glassboro, will receive $4,000,000 in federal funding over two years from the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services (HHS) for a Mental Health and Substance Abuse Service Grant.

“This funding will allow Acenda to help residents with both physical and mental health needs,” said Congressman Norcross. “I have long applauded Acenda for their commitment to providing crucial services for members of our community impacted by mental health and substance use disorders, and I am happy to have supported this funding that will help so many.”

"The pandemic has exacerbated pre-existing disparities in behavioral health care more than any other time in recent history," said Melissa Fox, MHA, FACMPE, FACHE, Chief Operating Officer, Acenda Integrated Health. "SAMHSA's CMHC Expansion funding will allow us to better reach the communities in Gloucester and Cape May counties who have been affected the most, so we can help provide the compassionate and effective care they deserve."
