Press Releases

WASHINGTON, DC – Today, U.S. Congressman Donald Norcross (NJ-01), a member of the International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers (IBEW) Local 351, issued the below statement on the passing of Edwin (Ed) Hill, the IBEW’s International President Emeritus:

“I join my brothers and sisters in labor in mourning the loss of one of our greatest leaders, Ed Hill, and I send my prayers to his family at this difficult time.

“For over six decades, Ed boldly led the IBEW with strength and integrity, making sure the dreams of our union’s founders will be realized by future generations of electrical workers. Today, the IBEW is one of the strongest and most influential unions, thanks to Ed’s leadership.

“A second-generation IBEW member, Ed’s lifelong mission was defending the rights and dignity of America’s workers. My son, like me, is an IBEW member, and our futures have both been shaped by Ed’s vision.

“For me, Ed was first and foremost a dear friend, and I believe he would want to be – and should be – remembered as a remarkable friend to all hardworking men and women. Thank you, Ed; you will be dearly missed.”
