Today, Congressman Donald Norcross (D-NJ-01) hosted a press conference in Camden City, celebrating the $500,000 in community project funding he secured for a citywide camera network to help curb illegal dumping and promote environmental justice.
"This problem has been around for decades," noted Norcross. "Unfortunately in our hometown of Camden, we get hit a little bit harder than most."
Young joined Congressman Donald Norcross (D-Camden), Camden Police Chief Gabe Rodriguez and Carstarphen on Wednesday morning to deliver the $500,000 federal allocation to the Camden County Police Department. The money is part of a larger $4.3 million allocation for South Jersey community projects, which Norcross announced earlier this month.
"This is about creating the next generation of worker for the offshore wind industry," Norcross said after the ceremony. "New Jersey will have the largest offshore wind manufacturing plant in the country. What does that mean for our constituents? Jobs, clean energy, affordable energy."

"Senator Menendez and Booker and Representatives Coleman, Gottheimer, Kim, Malinowski, Norcross, Pallone, Pascrell, Payne, Sherrill, and Sires are members of the New Jersey delegation that stood up for New Jersey with scores of 100%," added Potosnak. "Unfortunately two members of our delegation, Representatives Van Drew and Smith, received failing scores below 50%. That's not the kind of leadership we need as we face the climate crisis.
