Tonight, U.S. Congressman Donald Norcross (NJ-01) voted to pass the Water Resources Development Act (WRDA). This legislation is critical to New Jersey's 1st Congressional District which has been battered by storms and tornadoes, including Hurricane Ida in 2021 which cost 29 lives in New Jersey.
Tonight, U.S. Congressman Donald Norcross (NJ-01) voted to pass the Protecting Our Kids Act (H.R. 7910), a critical piece of legislation that he cosponsored and that would help reduce gun violence in the United States. According to new CDC data, guns are the number one killer of children in America – more than car accidents or cancer. Over the last two decades, more school-age children have died from guns than police officers in the line of duty and active-duty military combined.
Standing outside Amazon's Logan site Wednesday, Norcross demanded an investigation by the federal Occupational Health and Safety Administration (OSHA) because of the high injury rates, saying "One out of two serious injuries, in the whole state of New Jersey, is Amazon."
