WASHINGTON, DC-Today, Congressman Donald Norcross (NJ-01), a union electrician and co-chair of the Congressional Labor Caucus, Congresswoman Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez (NY-14), and Congresswoman Lateefah Simon (CA-12) introduced the Empowering Striking Workers Act to allow workers who exercise their right to collectively bargain to be eligible for unemployment insurance (UI) benefits after 14 days of striking.

CHERRY HILL, NJ - Today, Congressman Donald Norcross (D-NJ) visited the Food Bank of South Jersey to discuss how Trump's cuts to the Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP) will affect South Jersey families and increase demand at our local food banks. On July 4, President Trump signed the Big Ugly Bill into law, cutting SNAP by $200 billion and putting 97,000 individuals in New Jersey's First Congressional District at risk of losing food benefits.

WASHINGTON, DC - Today, Representatives Donald Norcross (D-NJ), Haley Stevens (D-MI), and Mike Lawler (R-NY), along with Senator Edward Markey, introduced the bipartisan, bicameral Warehouse Worker Protection Act. The bill aims to improve safety by requiring companies with large warehouses to disclose quotas to workers and prohibiting quotas that interfere with health and safety.
