National Defense Authorization Act Passes House of Representatives

WASHINGTON, DC – Today, the National Defense Authorization Act (NDAA) passed the House of Representatives. The legislation included several key national defense priorities for South Jersey that Congressman Donald Norcross fought for.
Fiscal Year 2025 NDAA Priorities Secured by Rep. Norcross:
- $105 million to purchase CH-47F Block II Program aircraft, which will be manufactured by South Jersey workers.
- $2.5 million to Rowan University for research, development, and engineering to enable rapid entry and sustainment in the Arctic and other cold regions being conducted.
- $16.2 million to support Project Pele’s development of micro nuclear reactors for sustainable and clean energy solutions.
- $2 million for research and development of doppler radars that can be carried by individual soldiers for Army Network Command, Control, Communication, and Intelligence (C3I) Technology.
- Increased pay for junior enlisted service members by 14.5% and a 4.5% pay raise for all other service members.
- $30 million to support U.S.-Israel anti-tunneling cooperation.
- $8 million to support the research and development of an autonomous system that detects landmines, which will be developed by workers in South Jersey.
- $50 million to improve Humvee rollover mitigation to avoid preventable deaths.
- $6 million for the Rapidly Adaptable Affordable Cruise Missile program.
