Our national workforce keeps our country running and provides invaluable services we often take for granted. Nobody should have to work multiple jobs or extraordinary hours to provide for their family, save for retirement or feel financially secure. As an electrician by trade, I know the best social program in the world is a job and I believe every worker must have an opportunity to succeed, which starts with fair pay. Women have made great strides in history, but it’s time they receive equal pay for equal work and the opportunity to maintain a work and family balance. We need to ensure working families have fair wages, safe working conditions, and a voice in the workplace.

Today, U.S. Congressman Donald Norcross (NJ-01) kept the pressure on Amazon at the Subcommittee on Workforce Protections hearing on the unsafe and untenable conditions warehouse workers face. Three Amazon warehouse workers died in New Jersey between July and August 2022.
Today, U.S. Congressman Donald Norcross (NJ-01) announced that the?U.S. Department of Health and Human Services (HHS) will provide over $3.2 million in federal funding to help Rutgers School of Nursing–Camden and Rowan School of Osteopathic Medicine (RowanSOM) train the next generation of health care workers and expand access to health care in South Jersey. Rutgers University will receive $245,872 to train and educate nurses, and RowanSOM will receive $3,000,000 to train community health workers and paraprofessionals.
