National Security
We must do everything we can to ensure service members, veterans, and their families are cared for in return for their service to our country. Proper defense budgeting ensures our soldiers are best equipped to get the job done. Maintaining the readiness of our military also ensures our national defense. Supporting South Jersey’s Joint Base McGuire–Dix–Lakehurst not only supports our national security needs, but it also employs 44,000 civilians and military personnel.
I also have a personal commitment to the unbreakable bond between the United States and Israel, our closest ally in the Middle East and the region’s only democracy. I am proud to serve on the Armed Services Committee to ensure our military, allies, and strategic partners can meet domestic and security threats to our shared democratic values.

It was the first hospital visit in the state by Norcross since the House passed COVID-19 legislation late Friday night.

WASHINGTON, DC – On Tuesday, Chairman Donald Norcross (NJ-01) pressed witnesses at the House Armed Services Committee's Tactical Air and Land Forces (TAL) Subcommittee hearing on the military's plan for the Chinook Block II.

WASHINGTON, DC – U.S. Congressman Donald Norcross (NJ-01) – a senior member of the House Armed Services Committee – led the New Jersey Congressional Delegation in writing a letter to Acting Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) Administrator Peter Gaynor calling on the agency to more actively oversee the distribution of Urban Areas Security Initiative (UASI) funding, rather than abdicating that responsibility to state agencies. The letter calls on FEMA to ensure South Jersey communities are equitably included.

During the event, Norcross announced the Nonprofit Security Expansion Act - a bill that would increase grant funding for nonprofit organizations at risk of terrorist attacks, such as synagogues, churches and other vulnerable community centers.
