As a presidential nominee, Joe Biden repeatedly promised to deliver on union-friendly policies like the Protecting the Right to Organize Act, the latest iteration of Democrats' long-fought-for overhaul of labor law.
It turned out to be an effective strategy: Biden won the 2020 election with an assist from organized labor in battleground states like Michigan. In fact, he performed the best out of the past three Democratic presidents with union voters.
It's latest in a back-and-forth between Norcross and allied countries over his efforts to boost domestic jobs and manufacturing by strengthening "Buy American" requirements in federal contracting, which apply to about a third of the $600 billion in goods and services the U.S. government buys each year.
"We've talked about this for literally years in different configurations," Rep. Donald Norcross (D-N.J.), a former union organizer who co-chairs the Labor Caucus, said. "He's embraced it."
Many students from Cherry Hill were recognized for their achievements in recent weeks.
Many of the organizations that noted the students' achievements were made up of experts, advisers and similar professionals in the areas the students were recognized.

Norcross, an electrician by trade, says Amazon's injury numbers seem "astronomically out of whack" compared to other warehouses, especially "given the technology they work with day in and day out, being one of the most innovative companies in America."
In the aftermath of the Uvalde shooting, U.S. Rep. Donald Norcross (NJ -1), pointed out in an email that he sent to constituents on May 28 that since first being sworn in as a Congressman in 2015, he has cosponsored 18 pieces of legislation that would reform how guns are sold or to whom they are sold.
"We want to be clear: this is unacceptable, and we will work to ensure that an event like this never occurs again," Norcross and Moen said.
"The projects authorized by WRDA are essential to everyday life in South Jersey," said Congressman Norcross. "Investing in our storm and wastewater management and flood mitigation infrastructure protects our cities, towns, businesses, and homes from being clobbered by powerful storms. I'm proud to support our communities by authorizing these critical environmental projects."
Standing outside Amazon's Logan site Wednesday, Norcross demanded an investigation by the federal Occupational Health and Safety Administration (OSHA) because of the high injury rates, saying "One out of two serious injuries, in the whole state of New Jersey, is Amazon."
"Bob Damminger was a longtime dedicated public servant. He cared deeply about his community and country. He was a visionary for affordable community college and job training programs," said Rep. Donald Norcross (D-Camden). "He was a good man who remembered his working-class labor roots and worked tirelessly to ensure Gloucester County families had a chance at the American dream … So many lives are better today because of Bob."
