Washington, DC-Rep. Donald Norcross (NJ-01) today introduced the Fair Wage Act of 2016 in the U.S. House of Representatives, aimed at increasing the federal minimum wage to $15 an hour.

Also today, Rep. Norcross joined New Jersey Senate President Steve Sweeney and Assembly Majority Leader Louis Greenwald as they proposed a constitutional amendment to gradually raise the minimum wage in New Jersey to $15 an hour.

Blackwood, NJ-Rep. Donald Norcross (NJ-01) today unveiled his plans for a graduated $15 an hour federal minimum wage.

"No one who works full-time should live in poverty. But that's exactly what we're seeing all around us. Working families are struggling to pay the bills and the reason is our low minimum wage," said Rep. Norcross at a news conference at Camden County College, Gloucester Township Campus.

Washington, DC-Rep. Donald Norcross (NJ-01) today renewed his push to close a loophole that allows those on the nation's terror watch list to legally purchase firearms.

"If someone's on the no-fly list, why would we still allow them to buy firearms and explosives? No fly, no buy. It's that simple," said Rep. Norcross. "Congress needs to act now to keep guns out of the hands of those who wish to harm America and finally close the terrorist background check loophole."

Among the tax credits in today's bipartisan legislative package are the Earned Income Tax Credit (EITC), Child Tax Credit (CTC), and American Opportunity Tax Credit (AOTC) that directly benefit working families and students.
