TRENTON — The Atlantic City Rail Line will resume service "with an improved schedule" on May 12, almost two weeks ahead of the original target date, NJ Transit said Wednesday.

...Legislators welcomed the development, with Rep. Donald Norcross, D-Camden, saying the rail line "has clearly been in limbo for far too long."

"I'm glad the state has finally heeded the call to reopen the line and return normalcy for the tens of thousands of people in South Jersey who rely on the Atlantic City Rail Line," the congressman said.
