Our national workforce keeps our country running and provides invaluable services we often take for granted. Nobody should have to work multiple jobs or extraordinary hours to provide for their family, save for retirement or feel financially secure. As an electrician by trade, I know the best social program in the world is a job and I believe every worker must have an opportunity to succeed, which starts with fair pay. Women have made great strides in history, but it’s time they receive equal pay for equal work and the opportunity to maintain a work and family balance. We need to ensure working families have fair wages, safe working conditions, and a voice in the workplace.

Norcross, in private life an electrician, said comparing Amazon facilities injury reports with those of other warehouse operators yields injury rates "astronomically out of whack" with each other.
U.S. Rep. Donald Norcross joined Amazon warehouse workers Wednesday and called on the federal Occupational Safety and Health Administration to investigate the rate of injuries among Amazon workers. More than 1,600 workplace injuries were reported at Amazon facilities in New Jersey last year, almost all of them serious enough that the workers involved had to miss work, according to New Jersey Policy Perspective.
If these corporations can't figure out a way to make a living without price gouging consumers, then it's time to hold them accountable. If they refuse to pass the savings that would be created by my GOUGE Act on to the consumer, they can expect to have their excessive profits taxed and to be fined for their greed.
Today, U.S. Congressman Donald Norcross (NJ-01) held a press conference in front of Amazon's TEB3 fulfillment center in Logan Township, New Jersey, where he stood with former Amazon warehouse workers and called on the Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) to thoroughly investigate troubling reports of injury rates at the multi-billion-dollar company that far exceed the national industry average.
Workers at an Amazon delivery station in Camden County walked off the job Wednesday morning in protest of transfers that will result from its impending closure. At 10:30 a.m., U.S. Rep. Donald Norcross is expected to call for OSHA to investigate an increase in injuries at Amazon facilities in New Jersey.
"Amazon employees make up 55% of all serious injuries in the state of New Jersey," said Norcross, who gathered with former Amazon employees and workplace safety advocates across the street from an Amazon facility in Logan Township, Gloucester County on Wednesday.
Today, U.S. Congressman Donald Norcross (NJ-01) questioned Assistant Secretary of Labor Douglas L. Parker at a hearing before the Workforce Protections Subcommittee regarding opening an investigation into Amazon over skyrocketing injury rates at its warehouses.
Norcross said he was "deeply troubled" by the report's findings.
