Since the birth of our country, the cornerstone of the American Dream has been opportunity. In the 21st century, access to that opportunity requires access to a high-quality education system that allows students to compete in the global economy. We must provide everyone with access to a robust educational pipeline from preschool through high school to ensure that they can grow and pursue their full potential.
Finally, the key to achieving success in a modern economy is higher education. American students have access to the best higher education opportunities available, including traditional four-year colleges, apprenticeships, and other technical training. Every citizen deserves the opportunity to improve their career prospects without becoming burdened by debt.

Washington, DC, NJ-Rep. Donald Norcross (NJ-01) today announced the winner of this year's Congressional Art Competition for New Jersey's First Congressional District.
The winning entry is an acrylic painting entitled "The Price of Freedom," submitted by Eastern Regional High School 9th grader Angelina Le. The painting depicts a military veteran in a wheelchair accompanied by two small children along the banks of the Delaware River in Camden, with the Battleship New Jersey prominently featured.
