WASHINGTON, DC - Today, Congressman Donald Norcross (NJ-01), a member of the House Armed Services Committee, strongly opposed an amendment to the National Defense Authorization Act (NDAA) that would have undermined the Davis-Bacon prevailing wage law, which helps provide family-sustaining wages for workers and local economies. The amendment failed by a vote of 242 to 183.

The Act, which passed with a 60-1 vote out of Committee, provides our military personnel with the resources they need to keep our nation secure and includes safeguards to protect New Jersey's Joint Base McGuire-Dix-Lakehurst (MDL) from closure.

WASHINGTON, DC – Today, Congressman Donald Norcross (NJ-01), a member of the House Committee on Education and the Workforce and an IBEW union electrician, cheered the unanimous passage of H.R. 2353, the Strengthening Career and Technical Education for the 21st Century Act. The House-passed bill included a provision by Norcross that extends the allowable use of funding for career-building programs.
