CHERRY HILL, NJ – Members of the New Jersey Congressional delegation sent a letter to U.S. Department of Transportation Secretary Elaine Chao urging her to continue federal funding for the Gateway Project, despite the Trump Administration's budget that calls for zeroing-out the transit New Starts program, the primary funding source to build new Hudson River rail tunnels and upgrade the Northeast Corridor.

WASHINGTON, DC – The state's entire Congressional delegation urged the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS) to reject a proposed rule change that would severely slash Medicare reimbursements to New Jersey hospitals.

Previous CMS policies have included a provision—the imputed rural floor—that provides New Jersey hospitals with fair and equitable payments to support physicians and other health care professionals providing care to seniors and low-income patients. That provision is discontinued in the proposed FY 2018 inpatient prospective payment system (IPPS) rule.

WASHINGTON, DC - Today, U.S. Congressman Donald Norcross (NJ-01), a member of the House Committee on Education and the Workforce, and a bicameral group of lawmakers introduced the Raise the Wage Act of 2017 that will help working families by raising the federal wage from the current level of $7.25 to $15.00 an hour by 2024 and index the minimum wage to the median wage starting in 2025.

WASHINGTON, DC - Today, Congressman Donald Norcross (NJ-01) announced the winners of the 2017 Congressional Art Competition for New Jersey's First Congressional District.

The first place winner, Hannah Jin of Cherry Hill Township, submitted a painting titled "The Tale of the Yellow Ribbon." The painting shows a mother and daughter planting a tree, on which they have tied a single yellow ribbon. Hannah, a 9th grade student at Moorestown Friends School, says the yellow ribbon serves as a symbol of remembrance and hope for members of the armed services.
