WASHINGTON, DC – U.S. Congressmen Donald Norcross (D-NJ-01) and Brian Fitzpatrick (R-PA-01) introduced the National Child Identification Act, H.R. 4172, which aids law enforcement by encouraging parents and guardians to proactively collect and store their children's sensitive identification information at home. When DNA samples are stored safely at home, law enforcement officers can spend the crucial first hours during a missing-person case searching for the child, rather than searching for the child's DNA samples.

WASHINGTON, DC - Today, U.S. Congressman Donald Norcross, a leader on retirement security in Congress, cheered the bipartisan House passage of H.R. 397, the Rehabilitation for Multiemployer Pensions Act. The Act - commonly called "The Butch Lewis Act" - addresses the nation's worsening multiemployer pension crisis and Norcross called for his colleagues to support workers ahead of the vote.

WASHINGTON, DC – Today, U.S. Congressman Donald Norcross (NJ-01), member of the House Committee on Education and Labor, reintroduced the Remedial Education Improvement Act to make remedial – commonly called developmental – education programs more effective, fair and less expensive. The Act would improve or develop programs based on five reform models that have a proven track record. It would implement these reforms, establish a competitive grant program and allow for the use of federal student aid dollars to support up to two years of developmental education.

These installations are essential to our national security – and our location has made them critical pieces of our nation's military preparedness.

WASHINGTON, DC - Today, U.S. Congressman Donald Norcross - a former minimum-wage worker and member of the House Committee on Education and Labor - voted in favor of the Raise the Wage Act, of which he is a lead sponsor. After more than 10 years without an increase in the federal minimum wage - the longest stretch in history - fulltime working Americans have been suffering. If the Raise the Wage Act becomes law, minimum-wage workers would see an increase to $15 an hour gradually by 2025.

WASHINGTON, DC – Today, the Middle-Class Health Benefits Tax Repeal Act, led by U.S. Congressman Donald Norcross (NJ-01), passed the U.S. House of Representatives. The legislation, which passed with bipartisan support, repeals a 40% excise tax – commonly known as the "Cadillac Tax" – on certain employer-sponsored health insurance plans.
