We must do everything we can to ensure service members, veterans, and their families are cared for in return for their service to our country. Proper defense budgeting ensures our soldiers are best equipped to get the job done. Maintaining the readiness of our military also ensures our national defense. Supporting South Jersey’s Joint Base McGuire–Dix–Lakehurst not only supports our national security needs, but it also employs 44,000 civilians and military personnel.
I also have a personal commitment to the unbreakable bond between the United States and Israel, our closest ally in the Middle East and the region’s only democracy. I am proud to serve on the Armed Services Committee to ensure our military, allies, and strategic partners can meet domestic and security threats to our shared democratic values.

WASHINGTON, DC - Today, Congressman Donald Norcross (NJ-01), a member of the House Armed Services Committee, strongly opposed an amendment to the National Defense Authorization Act (NDAA) that would have undermined the Davis-Bacon prevailing wage law, which helps provide family-sustaining wages for workers and local economies. The amendment failed by a vote of 242 to 183.

WASHINGTON, DC – Congressman Donald Norcross (NJ-01) voted in favor of the National Defense Authorization Act (NDAA) in the House Armed Services Committee. The Act, which passed with a 60-1 vote out of Committee, provides our military personnel with the resources they need to keep our nation secure and includes safeguards to protect New Jersey's Joint Base McGuire-Dix-Lakehurst (MDL) from closure.

WASHINGTON, DC – Ahead of the National Defense Authorization Act mark-up next week, U.S. Congressman Donald Norcross (NJ-01), a member of the House Armed Services Committee, led a letter to the leaders of the House Armed Services Committee requesting funding for 18 air refueling tankers. A South Jersey congressman spent the past week in Germany, quietly getting an up close and personal chance to learn about Russia's political system from many of those who run it.
Don Norcross was one of 14 congressional members who participated in a forum sponsored by the Aspen Institute, which calls itself "an educational and policy studies organization" based in Washington.
They got a chance to meet some of their counterparts in Russia's Federal Assembly and selected members of Vladimir Putin's administration.
CHERRY HILL, NJ - In recognition of Gun Violence Awareness Day, U.S. Congressman Donald Norcross (NJ-01) joined colleagues in introducing a Resolution that would compel Congress to take action in the face of gun tragedies.
H.Res.370, cosponsored by more than 100 Members of Congress, would require that any moment of silence held on the floor of the House of Representatives due to a tragedy involving gun violence be promptly followed by a hearing to discuss the cause of the tragedy and how similar events might be prevented in the future.
