National Security
We must do everything we can to ensure service members, veterans, and their families are cared for in return for their service to our country. Proper defense budgeting ensures our soldiers are best equipped to get the job done. Maintaining the readiness of our military also ensures our national defense. Supporting South Jersey’s Joint Base McGuire–Dix–Lakehurst not only supports our national security needs, but it also employs 44,000 civilians and military personnel.
I also have a personal commitment to the unbreakable bond between the United States and Israel, our closest ally in the Middle East and the region’s only democracy. I am proud to serve on the Armed Services Committee to ensure our military, allies, and strategic partners can meet domestic and security threats to our shared democratic values.

CAMDEN, NJ – Today, Congressman Donald Norcross (NJ-01) joined advocates, leaders and community members in Camden to march against gun violence. Last year, our nation logged a record number of mass shootings, more than one a day and since the Sandy Hook massacre in 2012, more than 220 shootings have taken place on school campuses. These statistics are sobering and disconcerting for our future and the ability for someone to put their hands on a weapon.

WASHINGTON, D.C. – Today, Congressman Donald Norcross released the following statement in reaction to President Donald Trump's second attempt to ban Muslims and refugees.
"President Trump's new travel ban is a distinction without much of a difference. His executive order still blocks Syrian children, Iranian doctors and even Iraqis who helped our troops now seeking to come here as refugees. The president is more focused on saving this failed policy than taking the advice of our military and intelligence experts to help keep our country safe."
