Washington, D.C. – Congressman Donald Norcross (D-NJ) has been selected to serve on the House Budget Committee for the 114th Congress.

“I am honored to have been selected to serve on the House Budget Committee, and I thank my colleagues for their trust and support,” said Congressman Norcross. “As we work to bring our economy back from recession, far too many throughout South Jersey and our nation are without a job and struggling to make ends meet. The work we do on this Committee – in some way or another – touches each and every household and business in America, and I’m committed to making sure our efforts promote job growth and tax fairness above all else. I am eager to get working with my colleagues from both sides of the aisle to deliver a responsible budget that is focused on strengthening America’s middle class.”

Congressman Norcross was also recently named to the House Armed Services Committee, which is responsible for funding the Department of Defense and the United States Armed forces, having jurisdiction over military operations and defense policy. In addition, Rep. Norcross was selected to serve on two Caucus Leadership Committees – the Steering & Policy Committee and the Communications Committee – that will help Congressman Norcross carry the voice of South Jersey families to Washington and advance their agenda for jobs and middle class affordability.
