Cherry Hill, NJ – Today, Congressman Donald Norcross urged Governor Chris Christie to issue a disaster declaration for Camden and Gloucester Counties following the severe weather storm that ripped through South Jersey Tuesday evening. If granted, this declaration may trigger the release of federal funds to help communities recover from damage caused by severe winds that has uprooted countless trees, downed power lines, and left hundreds of thousands of residents without power.

“As thousands of residents deal with the aftermath of Tuesday’s storm, federal assistance will go a long way in helping them get their lives back together,” said Congressman Norcross. “With the Governor’s declaration, we can move one step closer to unlocking federal resources to address the storm’s aftermath – which will allow our communities to move forward without having to stretch their budgets or burden taxpayers.”
