Press Releases

CHERRY HILL, NJ – U.S. Congressman Donald Norcross (NJ-01) today released the following statement:

“Today, the Supreme Court rightfully blocked President Trump’s disgusting attempt to kick hundreds of thousands of young people out of the only country they’ve ever known by upholding the DACA program. It is not only good news for Dreamers, who are our family members, neighbors, coworkers and friends, but good news for our nation. Dreamers play an integral role in the fabric of our communities, as well as our economy.

While we cheer the good news, it is more apparent than ever that the Senate must pass permanent legislation to protect Dreamers. It is time for Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell to bring a vote on the American Dream and Promise Act (H.R. 6). It overwhelmingly passed the House of Representatives last year, and it will provide the certainty and pathway to citizenship that Dreamers deserve.

Dreamers are American, and no American should have to live in fear. America is home. Period.”
