...The four of us serve as the chairs and vice-chairs of the Bipartisan Heroin Task Force in the House of Representatives, which is comprised of 90 members from both parties, and we welcomed the President's announcement as appropriate to the urgency of the crisis. However, we now believe it's time for the White House to put legal action to that intention, and formally declare the opioid crisis a national emergency.

CHERRY HILL, NJ – Today, U.S. Congressman Donald Norcross (NJ-01) announced that Rutgers University in Camden has been awarded a $452,829 federal Academic Research Enhancement Award (AREA) by the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services' (HHS) National Institute of General Medical Sciences (NIGMS).
The award will provide funding for biological research aimed at improving the diagnosis, prevention and treatment of diseases.
