CAMDEN, NJ – Today, U.S. Congressman Donald Norcross (NJ-01) announced that the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services (HHS) National Institutes of Health (NIH) and National Institute of General Medical Sciences (NIGMS) has awarded a $186,312 grant to Rowan University's Undergraduate Research Training Initiative for Student Enhancement (U-RISE) program. The U-RISE program is aimed at providing resources and funding for a diverse pool of students to pursue an education in biomedical research.

In the 116th Congress, the House passed versions of these two bills in a strong, bipartisan way.
"We have to be prepared that this could go on for some time," Norcross said. "We see $4 now. It's $5.50 a gallon in California. This is a big, big problem, not only to the men and women we represent, but to our economy."
