WASHINGTON, D.C. – This week, Representative Donald Norcross (D-NJ) attended the Munich Security Conference in Germany and the NATO Parliamentary Assembly meeting in Brussels as part of the U.S. Delegation to the NATO Parliamentary Assembly. During his time abroad, Representative Norcross joined world leaders to address global security challenges, strengthen partnerships, and reaffirm America’s commitment to its NATO allies.

"Peace doesn’t come from criticizing our allies or praising authoritarian regimes. Yet, the Vice President of the United States chose to attack the very countries and people who have stood with America to defend democracy time and time again,” said Congressman Donald Norcross. “Peace comes from strengthening our partnerships and standing firm for the values we share. While representing the United States at the NATO Parliamentary Assembly, I made one thing clear: America stands with our allies, and we will always defend democracy.”

In Munich, Representative Norcross met with Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy and a bipartisan delegation of U.S. lawmakers to discuss ongoing support for Ukraine’s defense against Russian aggression. During the meeting, President Zelenskyy thanked the United States for its continued support and emphasized the importance of strengthening defense cooperation.

In Brussels, Representative Norcross met with NATO leaders to reinforce America’s commitment to the Alliance and discuss ways to improve security and defense cooperation across member countries.

The NATO Parliamentary Assembly is a transatlantic forum that unites 281 parliamentarians from NATO’s 32 member countries. While independent from NATO, it serves as an essential link between the Alliance and its citizens through their elected representatives. Through his work on the Assembly, Representative Norcross is committed to strengthening America’s alliances and ensuring the U.S. remains a leader for global peace and security
