News Release

CHERRY HILL, NJ – Following a weekend of violence fueled by white supremacy, U.S. Congressman Donald Norcross (NJ-01) today announced $4,303,262 in U.S. Department of Homeland Security (DHS) funding aimed at strengthening state and local government port security, terrorism prevention, emergency preparedness and transit security efforts.

“This week, we were once again tragically reminded that our communities need all of the resources we can muster to stop acts of violence before they happen,” said Congressman Donald Norcross, a member of the House Armed Services Committee. “By providing funding to harden local potential targets, we’re smartly investing dollars to help keep the people of South Jersey safe.
