Press Releases

WASHINGTON, DC – U.S. Congressman Donald Norcross (NJ-01) today released the following statement:

“Today, the Supreme Court rightfully overturned a Louisiana law restricting abortion access, blocking a repulsive attempt by Republicans to suppress women’s rights and their access to health care. This is a victory for women and a victory for our nation, as our highest court has ruled to protect access to critical reproductive services, in spite of this Administration’s attempts to restrict access.

“American health care providers should be left to focus on helping those in need – not forced to conform to partisan policies that limit their effectiveness. The rights of women are under assault across the country, and it’s far past time for Republicans to listen to America’s women and respect their right to make their own health care decisions. Abortion is health care. Period. We must stand up for the reproductive rights of every woman in every state, and I urge the Senate to pass the Women’s Health Protection Act now.”
