WASHINGTON, DC – Today, Congressman Donald Norcross (NJ-01) issued the following statement on his no vote on the Republican tax scam 2.0:

“Republicans in Congress once again chose to appease their billionaire buddies at the expense of New Jersey families.

“Under this plan, the top 1% of Americans who already got 83% of the original Republican tax breaks will get even more benefits, while New Jersey residents will lose their full state and local tax deductions indefinitely. And while Republicans keep voting to screw hardworking Americans in typically-blue states, Trump golf clubs and other corporations get to keep their full deductions. The hypocrisy is explicit.

“We need more jobs, higher wages and real tax relief for New Jersey families. We don’t need to add $3 trillion more to the debt and have the middle class paying for tax breaks for CEOs.”
