Today, U.S. Congressman Donald Norcross (NJ-01) released the following statement in response to being appointed by Speaker Nancy Pelosi to go to conference with the Senate over the House’s America COMPETES Act of 2022, which makes crucial investments in the production of semiconductor chips, strengthens supply chains, and bolsters research and development.

“It’s an honor to represent working people in negotiating the final version of the America COMPETES Act with our colleagues in the Senate,” said Congressman Norcross. “This legislation will invest hundreds of billions of dollars in reshoring American manufacturing, strengthening our supply chain, and creating good-paying jobs right here at home. This bill will be a huge victory for the American worker and American competitiveness in the global market. I thank Speaker Pelosi and Chairman Adam Smith for the appointment.”
