As the weather gets warmer and beach season approaches, we should all be excited to be outside, taking in the blue skies and oceans and the fertile green ground beneath us. But now more than ever, as we enjoy our surroundings, our priority must be to protect and defend our environment from attack. So we need to send a message to Donald Trump and his corporate cronies in the 2018 elections: Go Green, Vote Blue.

..."I've gone to way too many funerals in my lifetime," Norcross said, one of which was a recent overdose of a long time friend. "And I've evolved in my knowledge in what I thought I knew and what I know now. … I see my fellow members doing the same thing."

...Norcross has proposed a House Resolution to create National Animal Rescue Day. This was inspired by a local animal activist who just wants to see other cats and dogs receive the same love and affection that she offers her pets.

..."The downside is how many of them are found stray in the street or quite frankly, some are turned in because the [owners] can no longer afford it," said Norcross. "We understand both of those issues. I had a biscuit with me trying to feed a dog, and all the dog wanted to do was be pet."

...Booker is teaming up with South Jersey Congressman Donald Norcross to sponsor a bill that, among other things, ups the federal tax credit for teachers from $250 to $2500 and allows for college loan forgiveness in as little as seven years for those who work in troubled school districts.

..."They want to help teachers (by) giving them guns. We want to help teachers by giving them educational opportunity, and that's the difference," Norcross said.
