Washington, DC- Rep. Donald Norcross (NJ-01) has been named to a leadership position in the United States House of Representatives.
Rep. Norcross was selected to the position of Assistant Whip by House Democratic Whip Steny H. Hoyer (MD-05), the second highest ranking Democrat in the House.
In this role, Congressman Norcross will work closely with Congressional colleagues on upcoming legislative matters and advise party leadership.
“I am pleased to announce that I have appointed Rep. Donald Norcross to serve as an Assistant Whip in the 114th Congress,” stated Democratic Whip Steny H. Hoyer. “As a new Member of Congress and lifelong advocate for working men and women, Rep. Norcross has already proven to be a strong leader and brings a valued perspective to the Whip team. I look forward to working with him in this new role as we continue to promote policies that support the creation of well-paying jobs and economic growth,” added Whip Hoyer.

Rep. Norcross serves as a member of the House Armed Services Committee and House Budget Committee. He was previously appointed by the leadership of the Democratic Caucus to the Steering & Policy Committee, and the Communications Committee.
