Washington, DC- Rep. Donald Norcross (NJ-01) today voted in favor of a long-term transportation bill, which passed in the U.S. House of Representatives by a wide margin.

The DRIVE Act makes critical investments in the nation’s highway and transit systems over six years.

“I’ve been pushing for this kind of meaningful action that finally makes a long-term commitment to funding our transportation needs. The people of South Jersey need assurances that the roads and rails they travel are safe. This bill provides safety for commuters, reliability for businesses planning to invest in our region, and jobs for the hardworking men and women of South Jersey who build and maintain our infrastructure,” said Rep. Norcross.

The U.S. Senate, which passed a similar measure in the summer, will now work with the U.S. House on a final version of the bill.

Congressman Donald Norcross is a member of the House Armed Services Committee and the House Budget Committee, and serves as an Assistant Whip in the 114th Congress.
