Press Releases

Today, Rep. Donald Norcross (D-NJ) released the following statement on President Biden’s nomination of Gen. Charles “C.Q.” Brown, Chief of Staff of the Air Force, as the next chair of the Joint Chiefs of Staff:

“President Biden’s nomination of Gen. C.Q. Brown as the next chairman of the Joint Chiefs of staff is historic and well-deserved. Gen. Brown has been an exceptional Chief of Staff for the Air Force, and there is no question that he is more than qualified to lead our armed forces. As the former chairman and current ranking member of the House Armed Services Committee’s Tactical Air and Land Forces Subcommittee, I have worked closely with Gen. Brown to ensure that our men and women uniform have the tools and resources they need, and I look forward to our continued work together to overcome global security challenges and strengthen our national defense.

“Gen. Brown must be confirmed as quickly as possible by my Senate colleagues. With the numerous threats we face around the world from Iran, North Korea, China, and Russia, now is not the time to play politics with our military and national security. Stable military leadership is a core principle of our armed forces, and it is needed now more than ever with the global challenges we face.”
