We must do everything we can to ensure service members, veterans, and their families are cared for in return for their service to our country. Proper defense budgeting ensures our soldiers are best equipped to get the job done. Maintaining the readiness of our military also ensures our national defense. Supporting South Jersey’s Joint Base McGuire–Dix–Lakehurst not only supports our national security needs, but it also employs 44,000 civilians and military personnel.
I also have a personal commitment to the unbreakable bond between the United States and Israel, our closest ally in the Middle East and the region’s only democracy. I am proud to serve on the Armed Services Committee to ensure our military, allies, and strategic partners can meet domestic and security threats to our shared democratic values.

WASHINGTON, DC – Today, U.S. Congressman Donald Norcross (NJ-01), Chair of the Tactical Air and Land Forces (TAL) Subcommittee in the House Armed Services Committee (HASC), applauded the final passage of H.R. 6395 the William M. (Mac) Thornberry National Defense Authorization Act (NDAA) for Fiscal Year 2021 (FY21). The act, which received bipartisan support, supports our servicemembers and their families, as well as our defense civilian workforce, while providing for a strong national defense and ensuring oversight to assure the Department of Defense's programs are fiscally responsible.
WASHINGTON, DC – Last night, U.S. Congressman Donald Norcross (NJ-01) – a senior member of the House Armed Services Committee (HASC) and Chair of the Tactical Air and Land Forces (TAL) Subcommittee – was appointed to serve on the joint conference committee for the National Defense Authorization Act (NDAA). The conference committee is charged with producing a bicameral compromise on the Fiscal Year 2021 (FY21) defense policy bill.

EVESHAM, NJ – Congressmen Donald Norcross (NJ-01) and Andy Kim (NJ-03) joined Governor Phil Murphy today to announce $60 million from the Coronavirus Relief Fund (CRF) for the Local Government Emergency Fund to aid counties and municipalities that were excluded from the federal government's direct CRF allocation plan. The COVID-19 crisis has severely impacted county and local governments in New Jersey and they are facing increased costs in health benefits, health and human services, public safety, overtime, equipment and supply expenditures.
PARSIPPANY, NJ - Representatives Donald Norcross (NJ-01) and Mikie Sherrill (NJ-11), members of the House Armed Services Committee, visited Picatinny Arsenal on Tuesday. They received a briefing from Brigadier General Vincent Malone, Commanding General, Picatinny Arsenal and Program Executive Officer, Armaments and Ammunition. Along with the briefing, they toured the new munitions disassembly complex site that broke ground in March 2020 and the facility for the Extended Range Cannon Artillery, which is in development at Picatinny, and met with Arsenal workforce leaders.
