SNJ Today.

Rowan University has received a federal grant to continue its advancements in engineering education.

New Jersey Congressman Donald Norcross announced that the university was awarded more than $200,000 by the National Science Foundation (NSF) to advance Rowan's Chemical Engineering Program by installing cutting-edge technology, while also adding mutually beneficial partnerships.

Rowan was selected for NSF's project that uses computer-based simulations of digital environments to allow students to experience safety challenges first hand.

The funding and the project, in general, is to better prepare students for safety challenges they will face when they begin their engineering careers.
