CHERRY HILL, NJ – Congressman Donald Norcross (NJ-01) was awarded the Exemplary Leadership in Labor award from the African American Caucus (AAC) of the Laborers’ International Union of North America (LiUNA), the Black Caucus Foundation of Michigan and the Conference of Minority Transportation Officials in Washington, DC.

"These labor organizations conduct important work day in and day out on behalf of hardworking families, and I am humbled by this recognition of my efforts to lift up workers," said Congressman Donald Norcross. "I will continue to fight for good jobs, affordable quality education, equality and justice for all Americans."

"Congressman Norcross is truly a man of the working people," said Reverent Carl Styles, Treasurer of the LiUNA AAC.  "We’ve been on picket lines together back home in New Jersey and I’ve seen his grit firsthand. We’ve stood shoulder-to-shoulder to fight for workers’ rights, even at during tough times, and I’m proud he came to DC to bring his perspective of the American workforce. I know he’ll always make sure workers have a voice and that we promote economic justice for all."

Congressman Norcross serves on the House Committee on Education and the Workforce and was selected to serve on the Joint Select Committee on Multiemployer Pensions.
