Cherry Hill, NJ - Rep. Donald Norcross (NJ-01) today issued the following statement about deadly violence against Israeli’s:

“The fragile peace in the Middle East has once again been shattered by a new wave of violence. I condemn the attacks against innocent Israeli citizens and holy sites.

Just two short months ago, I had the opportunity to travel to Israel as Congress deliberated another threat to the Middle East and the entire world. The threat of a nuclear armed Iran.

I got to visit many holy sites and speak directly with Israeli citizens about their concerns. I saw first-hand the bomb shelters in communities where people constantly live in fear—but are determined to stay and rightly stand for their homeland.

As worries again shift to this long-standing conflict with Palestinians, I stand with Israel and its right to protect its people from this senseless violence. And I affirm my commitment to maintain the security of its borders and its people.

I hope that someday soon there will be peace between Israel and the Palestinians. But realize there can be no path towards peace through terror.”
