Washington, DC –  Congressman Donald Norcross (NJ-01) issued the following statement today in reaction to Supreme Court’s King v. Burwell decision in which the Court upheld a critical component of the Affordable Care Act.  

“Today’s ruling is a victory for the American people. It’s a decision that more than anything delivers peace of mind to the millions of hard working American’s who have turned to the ACA for affordable coverage. The Supreme Court rightfully decided that no American – regardless of where he or she resides in our great country – should be denied access to the tax credits that were intended under this law to make quality coverage within reach for middle class families. This law was never perfect, and I look forward now to working in Congress to improve it in meaningful ways that will continue to help people across our nation.”
