WASHINGTON, DC – Today, U.S. Representatives Donald Norcross (NJ-01), Josh Gottheimer (NJ-05), Tom Kean, Jr., (NJ-07), Andy Kim (NJ-03), Robert Menendez, Jr. (NJ-08), Bill Pascrell, Jr. (NJ-09), Donald Payne, Jr. (NJ-10), Mikie Sherrill (NJ-11), Chris Smith (NJ-04), Jeff Van Drew (NJ-02), and Bonnie Watson Coleman (NJ-12) released the following statement on the faculty and staff strike at Rutgers University:

“New Jersey is the proud home of Rutgers University, a world-renowned academic and research institution, and we must recognize the tireless work and invaluable support of the faculty, staff, and students. It’s encouraging to see Rutgers leadership and union representatives come together with Gov. Murphy to resume negotiations so as to get students back in the classroom. A better Rutgers is a better New Jersey, and we urge both sides to continue these discussions and agree to a fair and equitable deal for all.”
