WASHINGTON, D.C. – Today, Congressman Donald Norcross released the following statement in reaction to President Donald Trump’s second attempt to ban Muslims and refugees.

"President Trump's new travel ban is a distinction without much of a difference. His executive order still blocks Syrian children, Iranian doctors and even Iraqis who helped our troops now seeking to come here as refugees. The president is more focused on saving this failed policy than taking the advice of our military and intelligence experts to help keep our country safe."

"Just weeks ago, I met with the Iraqi Prime Minister Haider al-Abadi in Baghdad and he asked, 'Why is the United States trying to ban Muslim.’ Our allies and even our own intelligence community have told us Trump's Muslim Bans will weaken –  not strengthen our security."
