A Deal on Defense Plan
November 5, 2015
Washington, DC- Rep. Donald Norcross (NJ-01) today voted in favor of the National Defense Authorization Act (NDAA), which won approval with broad bipartisan support in the U.S. House of Representatives.
Passage of the NDAA legislation comes after the approval of a bipartisan budget deal last week. Among other things, the bill provides stability and sustainability for the future of Joint Base McGuire-Dix-Lakehurst and the KC-10 refueling tanker aircraft program at the base, a provision Rep. Norcross coauthored with Rep. Tom MacArthur (NJ-03).
“This bill not only protects South Jersey’s Joint Base and the American heroes who work and live there, it also funds our vital national defense programs responsibly. I’ve been repeatedly calling for responsible solutions, and today we’ve taken a step in the right direction for America’s security,” said Rep. Norcross.
Congressman Donald Norcross is a member of the House Armed Services Committee and the House Budget Committee, and serves as an Assistant Whip in the 114th Congress.
