Norcross Statement on House Passage of Coronavirus Relief & Omnibus Appropriations
December 21, 2020
WASHINGTON, DC – U.S. Congressman Donald Norcross (NJ-01) voted today to pass H.R. 133, Omnibus Appropriations and Emergency Coronavirus Relief Package, which includes $900 billion in federal relief to help Americans respond to the COVID-19 pandemic.
“New Jersey and the nation are facing a historic public health emergency and economic crisis. Every American urgently needs relief, and some assistance is finally on the way,” said Congressman Norcross. “While we are providing an additional round of coronavirus relief today, this is only a fraction of what working families and small businesses need to survive. I will continue fighting for additional resources and working closely with South Jersey officials and health care leaders to ensure our communities get the tools and supplies needed to combat the virus and keep residents healthy and secure.”
Norcross added: “The Trump administration has crushed New Jerseyans with the SALT cap, and now with this insufficient coronavirus package – but change is on the horizon. The incoming Biden-Harris Administration understands what American families and communities need, and I look forward to building on this legislation in the new year to deliver the relief Americans deserve.”
